Day 01: Arrival at Paro and transfer to Thimphu hotel

On arrival at Paro airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer to Thimphu. On the way you will be visiting:

Changangkha Lhakhang built in 12th century and considered as most important temple for newborn babies.
Takin Nation Park
Royal Textual Museum
Craft Bazaar
Evening freely scrolled around town. Overnight stay at Thimphu

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast visit

Simply Bhutan
Painting School where traditional art is still preserved
National Library is a house with vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts.
Memorial Chorten (Stupa) was built in 1974 in the memory of Third King of Bhutan.
Buddha statue sited at Kuensel Phodrang is one of the largest Buddha Rupas in the world
Tashichho Dzong, Thimphu’s most impressive building situated at the banks of Wang Chhu is built in 1641.

Day 03: Thimphu- Punakha transfer – Punakha stay

After breakfast drive to Dochu-la pass (3,088m). The clear day offers the most spectacular view over the highest peaks of the Himalayas,
Druk wangyal chorten (Temple) at Dochu la,
En-route stops at Lobesa and takes a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang. It’s widely believed that childless couples are usually blessed with a child very soon, if they pray at this temple.
Punakha Dzong, built in 1637, consider as second oldest dzong in the country. It is built in between two rivers, Female River and Male River. Evening freely scrolls around town.

Day 04: Punakha – Paro via Thimphu – Paro stay

After breakfast drive to Paro En-Route visit:

Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten.
Royal Biotical Park.
Paro Dzong (fortress) built in 1646. You will cross a traditional wooden bridge on the way to the Dzong.
National Museum (Ta-Dzong) just above Paro Dzong, where we have unique collections of ancient armor, textiles, Thangkha paintings.
Night stay Paro.

Day 05: Option 1 Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) – Paro stay.

After breakfast drive to a hiking point. Taktsang Monastery is perched on a rocky ledge. It is believed that in 8th century Spiritual Master (Guru Rinpoche) known as the second Buddha in Bhutan, have arrived here flying on the back of a tigress and meditate in a cave for three months where Taktsang Monastery now stands.
Evening freely strolls around Paro town. Night stay at Paro.

Chelela Pass:

After an early breakfast, enjoy the drive and the scenic vistas from Chelela Pass, among the highest motor able roads in Bhutan. Chele la (pass), at an elevation 3,988 meters is considered to be one of the highest motor able passes in Bhutan. About an hour drive from Zhiwa Ling it passes through lush valleys, pine and rhododendron forest. The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake. Chele la is marked by hundreds of prayer flags fluttering in the wind. While taking a walk above the pass and one might come across signs of sky burials? Come back to Paro Hotel.

After early breakfast drive to Paro airport for flight to Dhaka.
